Rabbits of Usagi Island

Recently I read an article on Cracked called "The 5 Most Adorable Stories in the History of War."

It was one of those, "mmkay" articles that most people read because they're bored, not because it was terribly interesting. I for one, found it sort of fluffy, but not very interesting.

That is, except for number 5 on the list: "The Okunoshima Chemical Weapons Bunny Rabbit Factory."

Turns out, there's an island off the coast of Japan that used to be known for producing chemical weapons during WWII. it was erased from maps for a decade or two to cover up it's questionable past. And thus, everybody forgot it exsisted for a while. Then, sometime after it was put back on the map, people started visiting.

What they found on the island wasn't remains of a chemical factory, (well, they found that too, but the cool thing that they found was In Cracked's words "Hundreds and hundreds of adorable bunny rabbits."

The article goes on to tell about how the rabbits never learned to be shy, so they'll come right up to you. And that all the rabbits on the island are decendants of eight rabbits that belonged to a nearby school that got shut down during the same time the chemical factories were operating. The school released the rabbits into the wild, And they've been happily making babies ever since.

So that's where these guys come in. After reading, being the weirdo that I am, I decided that these rabbits have a story, and no one (that I knowof) has told it yet. so I must be the one to tell it.

And these are those rabbits. You know, in my world.

And here's some info, (More so I don't forget than for you to read)

Hutch: He was rescued from the wild after his mother was killed. He's glad to be outside again, and becomes leader o the other rabbits. Though he won't admit it, he doesn't exactly know what he's doing.

Fluffy: Shy female of the group.

Daisuke: He often butts heads with Hutch.

Tsuki: Pretty female with an eye for Hutch, and a nack for coming up with good ideas.

Korokoro: Or just Koro. A hyperactive male who will probably get himself into trouble more often than not.

Hanako: A female who constantly wishes to go back home.

Francis: A male who's ears are always alert, and who's eyes are always watching the sky. Would make an excellent lookout if he weren't so jumpy.

Momo: He tries to give everyone hope in the darkest of hours.
